In a commitment to supporting World Cancer Day 2025, Ticketmaster New Zealand has partnered with Canteen Aotearoa and raised $8,466 for the cause.
Across February, Ticketmaster New Zealand set out to raise funds for Canteen Aotearoa as part of the global Ticketmaster World Cancer Day initiative. A donation upsell across all events, allowed fans to donate while purchasing tickets to their favourite events. The funds raised go directly to Canteen Aotearoa.
World Cancer Day is a global initiative held every February 4th to raise awareness of the global impact of cancer, improve education and work together to ensure as many preventable cancer deaths are saved, and access to treatment is equitable for all.
Around 4,200 rangatahi are impacted by cancer every year in Aotearoa, but they don’t have to face cancer alone. Canteen is a safe space where rangatahi aged 12-24 impacted by their own diagnosis or cancer in their whānau can connect, share the tough stuff, and get a break from cancer.
